Player FAQ

HOW DOES LUNA PARK WORK?

The concept is simple; you login to this one website where you will be able to do the following things:

  • Watch a live hosted video broadcast of a trivia game.

  • See and hear the people on your team while also seeing and hearing the host.

  • Submit your team’s answers.

  • View team or individual scores.

DO I NEED TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT?

Yes, each participant will need to create a free account to join the game but it’s super simple (you can use Facebook, Google, or any email).  Creating the account can be done anytime before the game begins (preferably 15 minutes or more in advance) by following the link for the game that your host shared.

DO I HAVE TO BE ON A TEAM AHEAD OF TIME?

Teams are integral to Luna Park. You only hear the people who are on your Team. If you are not on a Team, you will not hear other people.

  • We suggest planning your teams ahead of time, however this is not necessary. Once you login, you can either create a "team"  or join a team.

  • You may play by yourself.

  • You may switch teams mid-game by asking to join another team or creating your own.

  • There is an 8 person team size limit, though for optimal group dynamics we recommend teams be fewer than 5 people.

IF I AM HAVING DIFFICULTIES OR HAVING ANOTHER PROBLEM, WHO DO I CONTACT?

First, try refreshing the page; this usually solves most problems. Keep in mind we’re only in beta : )

If that doesn’t work, there is a chat feature on the upper left corner of the screen. This is a public chat, so everyone in the game can see it.  If you are having trouble, message us there and we will address it.

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

  • Use Chrome, Firefox or Edge browsers. Other browsers are not supported.  Chrome is the preferred browser for this website.  Mobile devices, including iPads and other tablets, are not currently supported; a laptop or desktop is required.

  • Use headphones if possible.  This will prevent feedback in your video chat.

  • Please ensure that you allow access to your camera and microphone.

  • There is a team limit of 8 people. Feel free to create a new team if you can’t access one.

  • Although the audience preview at the bottom of the screen will show other people in the event, you only hear the people who are on your team. If you are not on a team, you will not hear other people.

  • Everyone always hears the Host, even if they are not in a team. When you are in a team use the sound balancer to control how much you hear your team vs the Host.
